Gerbils

As some of you already know, my sweet gerbil Muffin has died, on saturday.

On thursday she was getting really sick, and there was blood everywhere.

And even though we gave her medicine, it just wasn't enough. 

We saw her getting worse by the day, by the minute. It only took 3 days before she died.

We found her dead in one of their hiding places, curled up..

I felt so sad, even though I knew this would happen sooner or later, I didn't expected it to happen just now. It's always so hard. You take care of your pet, loving it, spending time with it, and then, suddenly, it dies. 

I feel like I have such bad luck with pets. 

My first gerbil, Harry, had a tumor, and we needed to put him to sleep at the vet later on.

This was such a difficult decision, but it was the right one.

After he died, I couldn't stand the silence, so we searched for other gerbils.

After some time we found 3 sweet gerbils, all female.

I called them Mollie, Muffin and Mini, as in MMM.

After a year Mollie got really sick. And she was sick for quite some time. We got medicine for her, and had to take care of her alot. Feeding her and washing her. She couldn't move properly anymore, and couldn't see because there came blood out of her eyes and ears. She had alot of pain, so we had no choice, and had to take her to the vet. And had to put her to sleep as well. 

I felt heartbroken.

And now, my Muffin got the same as Mollie. Leaving Mini all alone.

For now, I don't want any new gerbils, but maybe later in time, we will.

Because I don't want Mini to be alone. But for now we give all our attention to her.
